Notes

  • Sense’s reusable mechanism is not merely split yield-bearing assets into PTs and YTs. The deeper design is a shared Divider plus adapter-specific scale logic, which makes target onboarding and yield-accounting policy modular.
  • The tilt parameter is one of the most important details to preserve for later comparison work. It means some principal can be reserved for Yield Token holders, so Sense is not analytically identical to systems where PTs are the whole principal claim and YTs are only the variable residual.
  • Settlement timing is a real rent surface here: sponsors get an exclusive settlement window, then the reward becomes open to others. That makes maturity settlement part of the market design rather than a neutral background process.
  • The periphery’s flash-loan-assisted routes matter because Sense is not just an issuance primitive. It operationalizes PT/YT trading through atomic routing that borrows target, swaps PT, and recombines claims.
  • Governance minimization is incomplete in the reviewed materials. The trusted surface still includes pause powers, guard settings, adapter verification, permissionless-mode activation, and backfillScale authority when settlement fails.
  • Sense strengthens the fixed-income branch because it sits cleanly between Element’s tranche architecture and later PT/YT systems like Pendle and Spectra, while exposing adapter policy, settlement incentives, and principal-split design more explicitly than a generic fixed income label would.

Access note

  • During this pass, docs.sense.finance returned a deployment-disabled response, so the strongest accessible primary materials were the repository README and raw contract sources above.
