Notes
- Hydration clears the intake bar because it is not just another appchain DEX or
all-in-one DeFibrand; the Omnipool makes a distinct mechanism legible where liquidity concentration, single-sided LPing, and hub-asset accounting are all bundled into one governance-managed control plane. - The strongest reusable insight is that a shared-liquidity AMM can be organized around protocol-managed hub-asset accounting and admission policy rather than around permissionless pair creation.
- The most important comparison branch is against ordinary pair-based AMMs and other capital-efficiency systems: Hydration moves power into asset admission, caps, hub-asset policy, protocol-owned liquidity, and runtime-level treasury/governance decisions.
- The official materials also make clear that Hydration is no longer only
HydraDX the DEX; the protocol is now explicitly presented as a vertically integrated trading / lending / stablecoin stack built around the Omnipool.
