Primary sources reviewed
- https://docs.flashstake.io/
- Current docs landing page
- Used to confirm the protocol’s own present-day framing around instant upfront yield and user-facing amount-plus-duration flow
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flash-docs/master/source/getting-started/protocol-overview.rst
- Legacy protocol-overview docs
- Used to confirm strategy routing into underlying protocols, route-dependent upfront APR, timestamp-based lockup, early-unstake mechanics via proportional
fTokenreturn, and FlashNFT-based stake representation
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flash-docs/master/source/getting-started/faq.rst
- Legacy FAQ docs
- Used to confirm the
yield poolconcept, strategy-specific risk surface, the claim that staked funds are not used to pay new users, and the protocol’s positioning of official strategies versus arbitrary third-party strategies
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flash-docs/master/source/core-concepts/ftokens.rst
- Core
fTokendocumentation - Used to confirm that
fTokensare strategy-specific ERC-20 claims on a strategy’s yield pool, the minting logic’s dependence on deposit size and stake duration, and the optional treasury fee on mintedfTokens
- Core
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flash-docs/master/source/core-concepts/strategies.rst
- Strategy docs
- Used to confirm permissionless strategy registration, isolation across strategies, yield-pool accounting, and the fact that strategies can define custom logic for how
fTokensmap to future yield
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flash-docs/master/source/core-concepts/flashstake.rst
- Flashstake flow docs
- Used to confirm that
Flashstakeis the one-transaction mint-plus-redeem flow rather than a separate product from the underlyingfTokenissuance mechanism
- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/BlockzeroLabs/flashv3-contracts/master/README.md
- Core contracts repository README
- Used to confirm the open-source contract surface around the Flashstake protocol, strategies, FlashNFT, and related protocol modules
- https://flash-protocol.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting-started/whitepaper.html
- Legacy whitepaper pointer page
- Used to confirm that official legacy docs point to a standalone Flashstake whitepaper hosted externally
Notes
- Flashstake’s key reusable mechanism is direct tokenization of future yield through strategy-specific
fTokens, not a PT/YT maturity split. - The main comparison value is against fixed-income systems that reach tradable future cashflows through different decompositions: discounted principal (Element), adapter-mediated PT/YT splits (Sense), or more mature PT/YT market structures (Pendle / Spectra).
- The docs are unusually explicit that custom strategies can contain arbitrary logic. That means strategy governance and strategy selection are core trust surfaces, not footnotes.
- Early exit is not free-form. The reviewed materials say principal can be withdrawn early only by returning a time-proportional amount of the previously minted yield entitlement in
fTokens. - The current docs site is concise, while the older docs repo contains the more useful mechanism detail. The older raw docs themselves say they are no longer maintained, so they should be treated as architecture evidence rather than as guaranteed current product-state documentation.
Access note
- The legacy docs point to an official whitepaper hosted as a Google Doc, but I did not rely on that document directly in this pass because the raw docs and repository materials were already sufficient to ground the mechanism summary.
