Notes

  • CoW Protocol clears the intake bar because it is not just another swap frontend, orderbook, or DEX aggregator; it exposes a distinct batch-auction and delegated-execution control plane that later intent systems often inherit or mutate.
  • The strongest reusable insight is that some liquidity can come from batch design and peer matching rather than from standing AMM reserves alone.
  • The most useful analytical split is between user intent signing, orderbook validation, auction cutting, solver competition, and contract settlement. Keeping those layers explicit makes later comparisons to UniswapX, cross-chain intent frameworks, and MEV-routing systems much clearer.
  • The backend-services README is especially useful because it shows that the practical control plane is not only in the contracts or frontend; the orderbook and autopilot services help define valid order flow and batch boundaries.
